  Artwork Guidelines in Detail

For the best quality decoration and most efficient service, provide artwork in the following
format. VECTOR ART in Adobe Illustrator AI, EPS or PDF. The quality of your imprint begins with your artwork. All orders requiring production art should include black and white line artwork.

We recommend digitally produced art (VECTOR ART) for the cleanest, sharpest imprint. Your
graphic designer or advertising agency can supply this. We are unable to print gradients, stipples
or percentages of colours.

*NOT USABLE AS ART: Faxes, copies of faxes, and products with curved surfaces.

Vector Art

Some tips and simple rules to follow when you send electronic files for output.

1. Vector Art is perfect for type and logos because the lines are sharp and defined.

You can easily change colours and resize any part of the art without affecting the resolution.
These are usually files that have been created in Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw.

2. Remember to turn your fonts into “OUTLINES” in Illustrator or “EXPORT as CURVES” when

using CorelDraw. This turns your fonts into Vector Art, too.

3. Create the art in Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw and save as an EPS (Encapsulated
PostScript) file.

4. Art must be at 100% size.

5. Scans saved as an EPS do not count. They are usually too rough and have to be redrawn.

6. Fonts that have NOT been OUTLINED (or exported
as curves) WILL NOT PRINT properly.
Even if we have the font in our system, the size and shape of the letters as well as the spacings between them often changes.

  Branding Options

Screen Printing

Screenprinting is when you print spot colours (singles)  and 4 colour process on clothing & bags such as T-shirts and Tote bags. On promotional products screenprinting is often used when the logo is too large to be done as a pad print. The most cost effective way of printing is to print 1 colour only.

Pad Printing

Pad printing is where a special jig is created (like a stamp) of your logo and its then pressed onto a hard surfaced promotional item such as a pen or desk clock. A maximum of 7 colours are allowed to be used, and certain products can only have a 1 colour print due to the material such as stress items. The most cost effective way of printing is to print 1 colour only.

Plastisol Printing

Plastisol transfers are used when fine detail is needed. We can use plastisol transfers on caps, cooler bags and lanyards.

Embroidery

Embroidery is when your logo is stitched into the product. We commonly embroider caps, polo shirts and bags. It is a cost effective way of branding if your logo is small.

Offset Printing

1-4 colour process printing on mouse mats, plus printing of brochures, banners and point of sale.

Laser Engraving

Laser engraving is a subtle way of branding metal objects with fine intricate logos.

Sublimation

Sublimation is a process where a full colour artwork is dyed into a 100% polyester item. We can sublimate on things like stubby holders, cool dry polos and mouse pads.

Thermofilm

Thermofilm is a heat pressable film which is cut to your design using our Roland Printing/Cutting machine. The film is then weeded, and then heatpressed onto your garment. These are excellent for small runs and logos/text only requiring 1 colour.

Digital Film

Digital Film is a heat pressable film which is cut to your design using our Roland Printing/Cutting machine. We can print a full colour print on the white fil, then the film is then weeded, and then heatpressed onto your garment. These are excellent for small runs and logos.

Stickers
